PSP-4000 Advert Was Just A “Mistake”

December 21, 2009

You may have read about the PSP-4000 being in an advert from Accessories4Technology. Well, they have now confirmed that it was not supposed to be there and was simply a mistake. They also mentioned that Sony haven’t told them about one so they have assumed there isn’t one. This could simply mean that Sony are being very secretive about it but judging from their past records, it seems very unlikely.

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier Review

December 20, 2009

Developer: High Impact Games
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Platform:  PSP (Version Played), PS2
Genre:  Platformer
Players: 1
Release Date: 18th November 2009

Anyone who has played the previous Jak and Daxter games will have fallen in love with them due to the witty dialogue, loveable characters, solid presentation and the overall charm. However, Naughty Dog seemed to have abandoned the series in favour of Uncharted. Now Uncharted may be fantastic but that doesn’t mean I don’t want any more of my favourite gaming duo. Fortunately for us, High Impact Games (Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank) have brought us the sequel we’ve all been waiting for to the PSP.

Fans of Naughty Dog and even Insomniac Games (The two tend to go hand in hand) will probably be aware of what happened the last time a great series went to a new developer: it was ruined. The Crash Bandicoot games on the PlayStation were great but when Naughty Dog left to series to Universal, the series slowly got worse and worse. Spyro the Dragon led the same fate. This time events went a lot smoother and we got a game that fits nicely in with the rest of the series. Read the rest of this entry »

God of War Collection Release

December 19, 2009

Residents of North America are already able to buy the God of War Collection which contains the first two God of War games in HD on the PS3. European gamers, however, have not been so fortunate. First, the God of War Collection was delayed until to 2010 and now that it is coming, there happens to be a rather large catch.

To only way for Europeans to get the God of War Collection is to buy the God of War III: Ultimate Trilogy Edition (Pictured above). The collectors edition already has a hefty amount of content in it so with the new addition, it won’t be very cheap. This also means that it won’t be released until God of War III is released.

Samuel L. Jackson Soundboard Heading To iPod/iPhone

December 19, 2009

Ezekiel 25:17 The path of the...

The most bad ass mother fucker to ever walk the Earth will be coming to iTunes via a soundboard. Yes that’s right, Samuel L. Jackson will be heading to iTunes. The app is titled iSamJackson and will feature many of his quotes that you just can’t help but love (Pulp Fiction being full of them). The app is being developed by Heatwave Interactive.

As well as the Soundboard options there are a few other nice features that are contained in iSamJackson. Through the use of a personality scanner he will judge you which probably means there will be a lot of bad language thrown at you. In addition to that there is an “Ask Sam” feature where he will randomly give out advice, similar to an 8-Ball.

There has been no word on price but expect it to be coming to iPod Touches and iPhones next year sometime.

PSP-4000 Announced?

December 19, 2009

In the latest issue of online magazine MCV (Page 17) there is an advert for some of the recently announced LittleBigPlanet merchandise, specifically for a LBP PSP starter pack by Accessories4Technology. They happen to mention the different PSP models that the product is compatible with. The PSP-1000 is there, the PSP-2000 is there, the PSP-3000 is there and the PSP GO is  there. The interesting part is that the PSP-4000 is also mentioned.

This hasn’t been confirmed by Sony yet but it doesn’t seem likely that a manufacturer of these kinds of products would make a silly mistake like this. It could be a mistake though so watch out for more news on the subject popping up.
