Come Back In Two Weeks!

January 23, 2010

Unfortunately it’s the time of the year when I have to sit exams. This means that I’ve got to get study for all my subjects which leaves me little time for the blog. The exam period is over in two weeks so I’ll hopefully be up and running by then. See ya’ then

iSamJackson Review

January 19, 2010

Developer: Heatwave Interactive
Platform:  iPod Touch (Version Played), iPhone
Genre:  Soundboard
Players: 1
Release Date: 29/12/09
Price: £1.79

Of all the people a soundboard could be made for there is one who stands heads and shoulders above them all. That person is Samuel L. Jackson; the most badass mother fucker on the planet. iSamJackson is the Samuel L Jackson soundboard. It comes in two versions clean and explicit; yes, I obviously went for explicit. Some people may be weary of paying £1.79 for a soundboard but this is worth every penny.

Now the main function of iSamJackson is to be a soundboard. At the press of a button you can make Samuel L. Jackson unleash God like sounds consisting of one-liners, insults and witty remarks. Of course, with over 150 different lines, fans of Sam himself (Which should consist of everyone on the planet) will be amused for quite a while. All of the lines are original recordings so unfortunately I’m not able to get any of my favourite lines but hearing things like “That’s what she said” more than makes up for it. iPod Touch Reviews On Their Way

January 19, 2010

You may know that I got an iPod Touch for Christmas. Since then I’ve played about with it, had fun and enjoyed the product loads. I understand that it’s mainly for music and that what I mainly use it for but I’ve been very impressed by the app store. There are really fun games available on there and I think they are good enough to review. However I will be using a rating system of five stars instead of the normal system for iPod Touch games.

GDC 2010 Nominees Revealed

January 19, 2010

The 10th annual Game Developer’s Choice Award are coming up soon and the nominees are below/after the jump. These awards are picked by developers of games rather than just gamers themselves. I bolded the games that I think should win, it’s not my predicition but my preference.

Uncharted 2 has the most nominees with a total of seven and the only ones it didn’t get were the ones were it doesn’t apply. Both, Flower and Assassin’s Creed II share a high amount of nominees too though. Read the rest of this entry »

Heavy Rain Special Edition Revealed

January 16, 2010

The previously announced Heavy Rain special edition has been fully revealed now. It is exclusive the the EU and can only be bought from hmv. This special edition comes with a nice range of goodies which are worth getting it for, mainly because it’s only £40.

Within the special edition is a DLC voucher which gives owners some Heavy Rain related content. First up is the first episode of Heavy Rain Chronicles, The Taxidermist, which goes into more detail about Madison’s back story. More episodes will go up after the game is released for the different characters. A digital version of the soundtrack will also be included, along with an XMB theme. There will also be some origami included which is the same as the one on the game’s cover. Finally, there is a sheet of notes which will allow people to go into more detail in the game if they wish too.

Throw all of this into a specially designed box that makes it look like it has been rained on and you have yourself a winner.

Tekken Movie Trailer Revealed

January 15, 2010

A trailer for the Tekken movie has been released. There is no way I’m missing this one, not because it looks good though, in fact it’s quite the opposite. It looks laughable at best. However, the costume designs seem good from the trailer.
